Time to give credit where credit is due. Apple has done a fantastic job with handling app submissions for the iPad launch. Because of their timely feedback (and my blood, sweat & tears in addressing negative feedback), MindMash, my first iPad app, and as far as I know, the first iPad app from the Philippines is available now. It’s basically a brainstorming / note-taking app that can become a canvas for your ideas.
The idea for MindMash actually came to me while I was in the shower (nope, not an April Fools’ joke). I wanted to create an app that would help people collect bits of information from different sources, and mash them all up into a single screen until something useful comes out. Of course, I had to refine the idea for the app & limit the features at launch since I didn’t have access to an actual iPad. There’s still a ton of features in the pipeline that I won’t discuss now, for fear of being pre-empted. All I can say is that MindMash for iPad definitely has a lot of room for growth.
So, go ahead & download the app; it’s free anyway. As for me, I can’t wait to play with MindMash on an actual iPad 😉
Let me first of all commend you on your efforts in making this application. Despite the initial bugs that your app had, I,from the very beginning had been taken in by the Mindmash app, as I realized it had great potential if it was developed well.
It is good to see that you are still working on perfecting the app. Please carry on the good work. it has great potential. i use it and like it very much. the concept is great.
I would love to see the page/canvas extended as more and more bits are added. As of now, if the end of page is reached, there is no way to add more bits, except by opening a new page. Please see if you can work on this.
In addition, there is also no way to control where a new text bit can be inserted once a brainstorming session has begun on the canvas. Many a times ideas have been collected, but when a new text bit is added, this new text bit gets imposed on a previous text bit.
When attempt is made to move this new bit to another place, some other previous bit moves, thereby creating unnecessary steps to sort out the ideas.
Shall try to keep communicating issues as and when I experience them.
Keep up the good work. Hope you get your iPad ion mate!
